ENV-Vis C™ is a derivative of a high molecular weight biopolymer that is water soluble. This industrial-grade product is derived from chitosan, a polysaccharide obtained from chitin that is found in the exoskeleton of shellfish. ENV-Vis C™ is formed through a chemical derivatization of the chitosan molecule. ENV-Vis C™ is an industrial grade, chitosan acetate designed for use in applications such as water treating (flocculants, sealants, and soluble metal removal), controlled release additives, textile additives, industrial binders, and specialty viscosifiers.
